Prototype/Models

A product prototype development is a critical element of the design and injection molding manufacturing process. It is accomplished in two phases: Alpha and Beta.

The goal of the Alpha prototype is to produce a device that resembles the envisioned product shape and size with basic functionality. This allows the designer for custom plastic injection molding to validate the work already accomplished and provide you with a physical embodiment of your new product idea. A preliminary Acceptance Test Protocol (ATP) is developed for the Alpha unit to test and prove mechanical function and its basic design.

The Beta prototype improves upon the Alpha unit and meets the mutually agreed upon ATP. The Beta unit is intended to be an exact replica of the collaborative product design in all areas, including size, shape, and function(s).
